Cardhu 12 Year Old
You may not have heard of Cardhu, but you've probably tasted it. It's a prime component of nearly all Johnnie Walker blended whisky. Europe, particularly Spain, had quite a taste for the single malt bottling. It was so popular in fact that they changed it to a blended malt to keep up with demand. This did not go over so well and Cardhu righted that wrong back in 2005.

Tasting Notes
Nose: At full strength, heady, nose prickle, pear drops and tightly integrated heather, resin and sweet honey-nut notes. Enticing. Intriguing. With a little water, still harmonious but less pronounced, allowing some malt cereal, soft, spicy wood, moorland and faint traces of wood-smoke to appear.
Palate: Well balanced, smooth mouthfeel; short punch, sweet and fresh, then a pronounced drying effect. Moorish. Enjoyable at any time, with little or no water.
Finish: Lingering sweet smoke in the attractive, drying aftertaste.
Ardmore 12 Year Old Port Wood Finish
A unique and premium expression of The Ardmore. Double cask matured in American white oak bourbon barrels and European half port pipes, resulting in a liquid that is light and sweet with a balance of fruity, smoky notes. Non-chill filtered and aged for 12 years, this ruby gold single malt has been made using the same traditional distilling methods for 100 years.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Initial nose of summer fruits with a hint of pepper. Notes of burnt orange and cinnamon spice underlie. With water, the rich fruit aromas of red apple and cranberry intensify, accompanied by sweet honey and subtle spiced wood notes.
Palate: Sweet red apple and honey with the subtlest hint of mellow peat and charcoal smoke.
Finish: Initially smooth with a long, lingering finish culminating in the trademark Ardmore dryness.
