Heigold High Rye Bourbon image
Rabbit Hole Heigold High Rye Bourbon
This new whiskey commemorates the rebranding of Rabbit Hole's core range paying tribute to influential figures in Louisville. This straight bourbon edition captures the spirit of Christian Heigold, a German who immigrated to Louisville in 1850. As a stonecutter Heigold built a mansion in The Point neighborhood of the city, decorating it with patriotic carvings and epigrams, including a bust of President James Buchanan. Rabbit Hole's Heigold, a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey made with a high percentage of imported German malted rye. Distilled from 70% corn, 25% malted rye, and 5% malted barley, aged for just under four years in toasted and charred new oak barrels.

Baker's Single Barrel 7 Year Old
Named for a truck-driving, motorcycle-riding, bourbon-loving, hardworking whiskey man, Baker's Single Barrel Bourbon is a singular experience. A big, bold bourbon that was created by one legend to honor another. Every drop of bourbon in a Baker's bottle comes from one single barrel. And once those bottles are gone, they're gone. Which means you'll discover layers of unique, subtle nuances in every bottle you pick up. That's what makes Baker's so special. Baker has always believed the ideal bourbon is made according to three fundamental rules: First, it's aged at least seven years because that's the sweet spot for getting big vanilla notes from the charred oak barrel. Second, a great bourbon carries substantial flavor. And third, when he tries it, he better like it. These rules might seem simple, but they make for one hell of a bourbon.

Note: A very small quantity of whiskies came from this single barrel, so taste variability is higher than with larger production whiskies. Many times this is not a big deal (i.e. Blanton's), but sometimes it matters (i.e. Larceny Barrel Proof versions). If the specific barrel is not listed, ask your server or a store employee for more info.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Fruit, vanilla and caramel.
Palate: Medium bodied with flavors of oak, toasted nuts and vanilla.
Finish: Robust flavors sit on the tongue for a while, warm and rounded.
