Bruichladdich Octomore Edition 14.1
The Bruichladdich Octomore Edition 14.1 is a 2023 release from the Islay-based distillery's renowned "super heavily peated" single malt series. The 14.1 serves as the foundational "backbone" of the 14th annual series, designed as a benchmark expression that showcases the raw, intense character of the 2017 vintage before other, more experimental casks in the series (14.2, 14.3, 14.4) are considered. It is known for balancing extreme smoke with surprising elegance and complexity.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Intense peat smoke is immediately balanced by sweet vanilla, creamy toffee, and bright citrus notes
Palate: The palate is exceptionally creamy, delivering a powerful surge of smoky caramel, toasted oak, and zesty lemon
Finish: It leaves a long, dry finish dominated by lingering bonfire smoke, earthy peat, and a delicate hint of maritime brine
