Nose: Vibrant aromas of sweet citrus, lime zest, and lemon meringue pie open into tropical notes of grilled peaches and pineapple, all underscored by toasted oak and a delicate thread of earthy smoke
Palate: A rich, viscous texture layers vanilla custard, caramel, and toffee with spicy cracks of black pepper and cinnamon, while stone fruits like apricot and pear are wrapped in a funky, meaty wood smoke
Finish: The finish is long and syrupy, featuring a distinctive maritime salt spray that settles over lingering peat embers alongside deep, evolving notes of plum, fig, and tobacco.

Bruichladdich Port Charlotte Heavily Peated 2012
This high provenance, heavily-peated single malt was distilled from Islay-grown barley in 2012. A total of eight Islay farms came together to harvest the 2011 crop for Port Charlotte over a tempestuous summer. Each farmer had worked with us before, in Hunter Jackson, Ian Torrance, Ian MacKerrel, Raymond Fletcher, Mark French, Alistair Torrance, Raymond Stewart with father and son team Donald and Andrew Jones. Our community's commitment to Islay is embodied here, where local barley is raised, distilled, matured and bottled only on Islay.
