Oak is the second-most commonly found aroma/flavor on Whisky Mates, appearing in 53.0% of all whiskies in our catalogue. Oak appears most in Canadian Whisky, at 82.4%, followed by Bourbon, Tennessee Whiskey, and Rye, at 73.4%, 72.7%, and 49.2%, respectively. American Single Malts contain the least oak flavor, coming in at only 23.1% of whiskies; Japanese Whisky is the runner up on the low end at 27.8%.
